Taekwon-Do literally means the philosophy of movements made with hands and feet. TAE: to strike or break with foot, KWON: to strike or break with hand, DO: general name for the path or philosophy to be followed in the implementation of this art. DO philosophy emanates from the coalescence of merits such as respect, courtesy, obedience, humility, tolerance and patience. Taekwondo is not an offensive sport but a defensive one, developed over a period of more than 20 centuries and achieved an international contemporary quality.
