This is the workshop for you if you want to discover the warm world of percussion instruments —the building block of music. You will find the opportunity to learn how to play a variety of instruments and open the doors to lively rhythms using the simple methods developed for percussions. Adults in groups of four can also participate in the courses organized by a professional musician.

Did you know?

Percussio means "to beat, strike"; and percussus means "a beating." The name of a very popular Turkish percussion instrument, darbuka is derived from an Arabic word "darp" which also has a similar meaning (to hit). Today, the word percussion is used also in fields other than music to refer to the "generation of sound by two objects clashing each other."
